Nun endlich angekommen im Zentrum der Bewegung, denn nichts war unerträglicher als der Zustand der lähmenden Bindung. Ich vermeide hier jegwelche Kausalitäten im Bezug auf Ne stor´s Fortgang, aber er riss ein Loch ins Gefüge, baute Dämme in Flüsse.
Und trotz aller Notwendigkeiten sind und waren Maschinen schlechte Alternativen. Und wie befremdlich können fremde Gesicher sein?
Ich glaube durch die neuen Songs sind wir noch mehr eine Band als jemals zuvor. Wir gönnen und erlauben uns mehr Freiheiten und Blasphemien und der Hydra´s Arbeit ist die interessanteste seit Jahren. " Sober Light " könnte ein Kernsong des neuen Albums werden, ein Song, der wie ein Fazit und ein Resultat der letzten zwei Jahre gleichermaßen wirkt. Ich mag die Art und Weise, mit der wir den neuen Stücken ihren Status verleihen, mag die Neugier, die die Arbeit in uns weckt. Und ich mag die Tatsache, dass wir mit Joe keinen Ersatz für Nestor gefunden haben, sondern eine neue Facette unserer kreativen Möglichkeiten. Ich hätte so schnell nicht gedacht, dass die Formel musisch und menschlich gleichermaßen so harmonisch aufgeht. Sein musikalischer Hunger ist Inspiration und Injektion zugleich und ich wette, dass die nächsten Konzerte die Band in völlig neuer Intensität scheinen lassen werden. Es macht einfach wieder wahnsinnig Spass zusammen zu spielen, egal ob neue oder alte Stücke, so als hätten wir unseren eigenen Kanon neu für uns entdeckt. Weißenfels war zwar ein großartiges Konzert, aber ich glaube mental fühlte sich jeder von uns unvollständig. ( An dieser Stelle nochmals vielen Dank an Marko und Claudia für die schier unglaubliche Fürsorge, kulinarisch als auch kulturell!) Und auch wenn wir zeitlich unseren eigenen Plänen etwas hinterherhinken, so war das Jahr bis dato evolutionär für uns unheimlich wichtig und der neugewonnene Konsens wird nicht nur der kommenden Arbeit zuträglich sein.

Now we have arrived in the centre of the movement eventually, cause nothing was more unbearable than the state of a paralyzing captivation. I want to avoid to name any causalities regarding to Nestor´s leaving, but it tore a hole in the structure, built dams in rivers.
And beside all necessities we felt, that machines were and are a bad alternative. And how strange strange faces can be!
I think the work on the new songs made us more a band than ever before. We grant and allow us more latitudes and blasphemies and the Hydra´s work becomes the most interesting of the last years. " Sober Light " can become a musical core of the new album, a song, which seems to be conclusion and result of the last two years at the same time. I like the way we bestow the status to the new songs, like the curiosity the work is envoking in us. And I like he fact, that Joe became not a replacement for Nestor , but a new facet of our creative possibilities. I have never thought, that the formula will add up musically and humanly at once. His musical hunger is inspiration an injection in unison and I bet, that the next shows will see the band in a newly hatched intensity! We have regained the joy to play together, no matter if old or new stuff, so as we have re-discovered our own oeuvre. Weissenfels was great place to play at, for sure, but I think mentally we all felt a bit of incompleteness. (So many thanks again to Marko and Claudia for the almost unbelievable welfare, culinarily and culturally!) And even if we lag seasonal miles behind our own plans, this year was up to now of an evolutional significance and the reclaimed consensus will not only benefit the forthcoming work.
