VALENTINO

Endlich! Endlich scheint " Red Valentino " sein verdientes Ende zu finden! Noch eins-zwei Gitarren hier und da und wir können (mit zeitlich schlechtem Gewissen) unseren Beitrag zum " Beyond The Horizon "-Projekt abliefern. Es hat zwar etwas länger gedauert, als geplant und versprochen, aber dafür ist das Ergebnis tröstend, in jeder Hinsicht.
Als wir uns damals, im November letzten Jahres dazu entschlossen uns wieder an einem Coversong zu versuchen, lag dies natürlich an unserem Konzert mit And Also The Trees . Dirk war auf einem ihrer Konzerte in London und kam dort ins gespräch mit Leuten vom AATT-Fanclub, die ihn (wohlwissend um unseren Part bei der Trees Berlin-Show) mit der großartigen Idee konfrontierten einen Song zu ihrem Tribut-Projekt beizusteuern.
Schieben wir es (dankbar) auf die Präsenz der Musen, dass unser Fokus in den letzten Wochen eher auf den eigenen Songs ruhte und Fremdwerk wie Verrat schien, aber nun sind es nur noch ein paar akustische Details und wir sind fertig.
Ich weiss nicht mehr genau, warum wir uns damals ausgerechnet jenen Song aussuchten (Die Demokratie ist tot! Lang lebe die Demokratie!), aber ich mag seine Atmosphäre, seine Fiebrigkeit, seinen Seiltanz zwischen Motivation und Illusion..." in my stone solemn head I chase the paradise ."

At last! At last „Red Valentino“ seems to find it´s deserved conclusion. Just here and there a few vibrating strings and we can (with a temporal guilty conscience) hand in our contribution to the „ Beyond The Horizon “-project. Indeed it took more time than planned and promised, but the result sounds soothingly on the other hand, to all intents and purposes.
When we decided to deal with a coversong again (back in last year´s november), it was down to the fact, that we had a concert with And Also The Trees ahead. Dirk visited one of their shows in London and there he got into conversation with some people of the AATT -fanclub, who (knowing about our part in the forthcoming show of the Trees in Berlin) faced him with the brilliant idea of throwing in a song to their tribute-project .
So let´s (gratefully) blame the presence of the muses for the fact, that our focus rested on our own songs over the last weeks and doing other people´s stuff seemed like committing treason, but now there are only a few acoustic details left and it is done.
I can´t remember why we choose this song then ( The democray is dead! Long live the democracy! ), but I like it´s atmosphere, it´s feverishness, it´s balancing act between motivation and illusion…„ in my stone solemn head I chase the paradise…
